What We Believe

The Bible

We believe that the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, inerrant, written word of God. The Bible is the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

The Trinity & Jesus Christ

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.

Man's Sinfulness

We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God.

Free Will

We believe that, as a free agent, man can either accept or reject God. In giving man freedom of choice, God has expressed the true nature of His love - not coercion, but an open invitation to accept His way.

Salvation

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and all that truly repent of their sins and believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.

Sanctification

We believe it is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit, being separated from sin and the world and fully consecrated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service.

Future

We believe the teaching that Christ will return to earth in fulfillment of the Biblical prophecies, ushering in the time of the Last Judgment, leading to eternal life for those who have accepted God's offer of salvation in Jesus Christ, and eternal punishment and death for those who have rejected it.

Sacraments

We believe in two sacraments instituted by our Lord, communion and baptism.
